The house Lin built has now become the house Melo remodeled. The emergence of Lin made MSG ticket sales skyrocket, not to mention stock values rise like bread in an oven. But Linsanity could not continue due to the injury Lin suffered in his right knee. The surgery he underwent to repair his knee has sidelined him throughout the playoffs. All he could do is cheer his undermanned team from the bench as they compete against a Heat team who is a Finals favorite. The Knicks have suffered a battery of injuries but have somehow persevered through it all and have not quit playing. There's something about this team that when their backs are against the wall it is  when they perform at their best. 
    Everyone is counting the Knicks out and have given the Heat the series. Yes the Heat is up 3-1 and they are going back to Miami for game 5 where they will try to finish things off but the series is not over. History says the Heat will win because no team has come back from a 3-0 deficit but history can change. The Knicks showed resilience and heart on Sunday. After watching another of their soldiers go down (Baron Davis) they could of easily packed it in but they didn't, they fought back and won the game. That game meant a lot. Not only did it snap a playoff high 13-game losing streak but most importantly they stayed alive and gained some confidence.

    Miami has two superstars in James and Wade. The Knicks have two superstars in Melo and Amare. But the Knicks have the edge, why? Because the Knicks also possess the NBA defensive player of the year in Tyson Chandler, a player who's very familiar in beating the Heat. He was the difference last year in the Finals when Dallas beat Miami. Also the Knicks have nothing to lose. Everyone has counted them out, no one has given them a chance since the series started. If there is a dangerous team, it's a team who has nothing to lose and everything to gain. The Heat does not react well under pressure and right now they have all the pressure in the world to finish off a team that has gained confidence and will not go away without a fight. The Knicks have motivation to beat this team and they have the arsenal to do it. Melo and Amare have a lot to prove like putting the question to rest if they can co-exist. Sunday they proved that they can and they will. We are witnessing history in the making and it continues tonight at 7 p.m. in American Airlines arena, where the Knicks will continue to persevere and continue to claw their way to the finals.
